When I looked into learning to drive I researched quite a few driving schools, I wanted to learn with the best as it would save me money and time too. My dad has had a car crash a few times, luckily never really anything major and he never hurt himself or anyone else, but it made me aware that I wanted to learn to be a great, safe driver. I never wanted to be in a crash, but unfortunately you can't help it if you are the passenger.

The insurance group I will be with will also be important to me, a I will be a new driver which ever insurance group I'll be with will charge me more, so I aim to get the one with the best benefits. It would be good when I have driven for three years as then I can get abroad cover, it would be great to drive through France on a day trip.

I started studying for my theory test months before I even started looking at the driving schools, I wasn't even old enough to have a driving lesson but I wanted a head start. I was also quite nervous about driving so I wanted to have some good knowledge of the road before I started. I was getting good scores on the online theory test I came across, but I think it isbecause I am memorising the answers now, but a lot of the question are quite easy.

When I did my actual theory test I got full marks, which is great, but it wasn't surprising as I put a lot of work, effort and time into it. There was no way I was going to fail! I got a good insurance group for my car, it is the best I can expect seeing as I am a new driver. It is a shame but I understand why'newdrivers' getput into their own category. Even though I think a lotof bad drivers are people who have got too used to driving and have become lazy.Let's hope I don't have a crash!
