Today is the day I end up going to a driving school, only because I had a crash, or an accident. I know, I should have been more careful driving, but you know these young drivers, like I am. We always know more than the older generation. I was driving my pride and joy classic car, and before I knew it, I ran a red light. I can say I am lucky I was not going full speed like the highway speed, or else it could have been really bad. Actually all I did was I had a fender bender as they call it.
Well anyway, my crash is on my driving record until I turn 21. My insurance agent said after I turn 21 then my record will start all over being I will be classified as an adult and on my own. All my agent could say was so many young drivers and crash in the same sentence. To me a crash would be a really bad accident, but he said a crash is a crash. It does not make any difference whether you had a fender bender, you smashed out a tail light, or a head light, it is still a crash.
Of course, he doesn’t say anything about my classic car that I worked so hard on all summer. It was a 1982 Ford Mustang, and it only cost me about $300 but after I got done restoring it, it was nearly $4000. I even called her Stang. I had planned on restoring another classic car for the fair next year, but guess I will be restoring this one again.
I wish I could invent a device that would detect when a car is going to have a crash, and then I would be the world’s most famous person and inventor. Just think, no one would have to go a driving school, all the young drivers could afford any classic car they wanted.
I think my brain is in full motion today, instead of listening to what the instructor is saying in this driving school. So far all I have gotten out of it is the word crash and young drivers. Time to put my brain in motion and start listening.
